Group 42 Holding Ltd., doing business as G42, is an Emirati artificial intelligence (AI) holding company founded in 2018 and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The company focuses on the development and deployment of AI systems at scale through infrastructure and cloud-based platforms serving government and enterprise sectors, including healthcare and energy, as part of its broader AI ecosystem. G42 is backed by the UAE's sovereign wealth fund, Mubadala, as well as major global technology investors. In 2020, G42 signed two separate Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with Rafael Advanced Defense Systems (Rafael) and Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI), two Israeli technology and defense companies. The agreements were intended to explore collaboration in the research and development of technologies to combat SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. Rafael and IAI have also supplied military equipment and weapons to the Israeli army, which were used during the Gaza genocide. In 2021, G42 formed a joint venture with Israel's state-owned Rafael Advanced Defense Systems to commercialize artificial intelligence and big data technologies. The joint venture, named Presight.AI, established a research and development center in Israel and was intended to develop AI-based products for sectors including banking, healthcare, and public safety. These products were planned for commercialization in Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and international markets. In 2024, Presight entered into a strategic partnership with Nesma Injazat to accelerate digital transformation across Saudi Arabia. The partnership focuses on delivering AI, big data analytics, smart city technologies, and cloud-based solutions for government and commercial sectors in support of Saudi Vision 2030. --
