Héroux-Devtek Inc. is a Canadian company specializing in the design, development, manufacture, repair, and overhaul of landing gear, actuation systems, and other components for the aerospace market. In February 2025, the global investment firm Platinum Equity announced that it had completed its acquisition of the company. Since 1994, Héroux-Devtek has collaborated with Lockheed Martin on large-scale aerospace projects. Its involvement in the F-35 Lightning II stealth fighter program includes designing and manufacturing the landing gear lock system. This critical component allows the aircraft to maintain its stealth capabilities once the landing gear is retracted. There are about 30 Canadian companies that currently manufacturing specialized parts, technologies, and equipment for the F-35 which is the most advanced, connected, and combat-proven fighter jet in military production today.
