TKH Security

Additional Details

TKH Security is a Dutch technology company specializing in the development of integrated security solutions, smart video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection. Its surveillance cameras are used to monitor Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem . Amnesty International has noted that cameras manufactured by TKH Security have been installed in public places and mounted on military infrastructure in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem . Many TKH cameras found in occupied East Jerusalem are equipped with facial and vehicle recognition capabilities. Given the installation of these cameras in the Old City of Jerusalem, Amnesty International suggests that they are likely connected to Mabat 2000, an Israeli surveillance network that covers the entire Old City and subjects Palestinian residents to constant surveillance. According to Amnesty International, "the increasing presence of these cameras in tandem with illegal settlement activity and demolitions... presents even greater risks to the Palestinians living under apartheid." In 2017, TKH Security partnered with the Israeli technology company Mal-Tech to distribute its surveillance products to the Israeli market. Mal-Tech has a documented history of supplying security technology to the Israeli government, military, and police. While TKH claimed in February 2023 that it had not done business with Mal-Tech in years and "does not have a direct business relationship with the Israeli security forces," it remains unclear when the partnership officially ended and how the company's products are currently distributed in Israel.
