Paz Oil Company Ltd. is the largest Israeli fuel company. It distributes gasoline and other petroleum products through a network of service stations, and provides LPG and natural gas for domestic use (cooking and heating) through its subsidiary, PazGaz. Additionally, Paz operates combined cafés and convenience stores at many of its stations through its subsidiary, Yellow, and owns the supermarket chains Freshmarket and Super Yuda. The company operates at least 17 gas stations and energy facilities within Israeli settlements in the West Bank and the Golan Heights. This operational footprint directly facilitates the maintenance and expansion of these settlements, which are considered illegal under international law. Under long-term contracts with the Israeli Ministry of Defense, Paz serves as the primary supplier of jet fuel to the Israeli Air Force. This logistical support directly links the corporation to military operations and airstrikes that have resulted in significant Palestinian civilian casualties. Furthermore, the widespread expansion of the company’s branches and facilities contributes to the stagnation of the Palestinian economy. Its commercial exploitation of natural resources within the occupied territories also stands in direct violation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
