Elmet International SRL is a Romanian aerospace and defense manufacturing company. Founded in 1998, it operates as a key subsidiary of Israel's Elbit Systems, specializing in the production, precision machining, and turnkey assembly of land defense systems, military equipment, and civil aerospace applications. In August 2025, a two-ton cargo described as "towed mortars" was sent from the port of Constanța to Haifa, according to a document obtained by Snoop with the help of Irish journalists from The Ditch. A container loaded with 120 mm A7 A2 towed mortars left in August from a Bacău subsidiary of the Israeli company Elbit Systems for Haifa, according to a document reviewed by the editorial staff. This is one case of transport. It is currently unknown how many such shipments took place in 2024 and 2025, as Romanian authorities have not published any information regarding military exports to Israel.
