Cellebrite DI Ltd. is an Israeli digital intelligence firm that supplies police, prison, and immigration authorities, as well as various governments around the world, with hacking technologies. The Israeli military and its security agencies have utilized Cellebrite tools, such as UFED devices, across the Gaza Strip and the West Bank. The company's software has been used to decrypt and breach thousands of smartphones belonging to deceased or detained Palestinians During Israel’s 2023–2025 genocidal war, aiming to extract data, contacts, and geographical locations. While Israeli media initially reported that these individuals were members of militant groups, military sources later noted that a large portion were civilians. The company has also received funding from a Pentagon innovation unit to develop a product to map underground tunnels in the Gaza Strip. The impact of Cellebrite's technologies has also extended to neighboring countries. A report by Citizen Lab, released in early 2026, revealed that security authorities in Jordan used Cellebrite software to breach the phones of several activists, lawyers, and student organizers without their consent.
