Following the events of October 7, 2023, the U.S. Department of Defense (Pentagon) established a special task force called the "Tiger Team" within the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA). The primary objective of this team was to bypass bureaucracy and expedite the direct export of U.S. weapons and ammunition to the Israeli military. The Hoplite Group sourced and deployed and provided military experts and logistics specialists to support and manage this government team. The company explicitly stated in its job postings that its work was a response to the events to facilitate "Foreign Military Sales" (FMS) operations directed to Israel. Retired special forces and intelligence personnel working for the company coordinate the air and sea transport routes for supplies. The company leverages its influence and network of contacts in the Middle East (through its offices in Erbil and other locations) to ensure the stability of military supply chains and provide environmental and geopolitical intelligence that supports joint U.S.-Israeli military operations.
