Plasan plays a vital and direct role in supplying the Israeli army with vehicles, protection solutions, and armor. This role has significantly increased in support of ongoing military operations since the outbreak of war in October 2023. At the start of the war, the company immediately transferred all available armored vehicles in its warehouses that were operational and ready for deployment to Israeli army units. A large portion of these armored vehicles were provided to the army free of charge as an emergency mobilization measure to expedite the movement of troops and the commencement of combat and rescue operations in the early days of the fighting. Plasan's role is not limited to producing its own vehicles. The company also manufactures armor kits for other military vehicles used by the Israeli army in Gaza and the West Bank, such as American Humvees, military transport vehicles, and troop and fuel tankers, to protect them from improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and RPGs. Plasan vehicles, specifically the SandCat family of armored vehicles in its various versions such as the Tigris and EX11, play a pivotal and tactical role in the daily operations carried out by the(IOF) and Border Police in the West Bank. The SandCat is considered the primary tool relied upon by the IDF's regional brigades for conducting near-daily raids and arrests within densely populated Palestinian cities and refugee camps (such as Jenin, Tulkarm, and Nablus).
