Expedia Group, Inc. is an American travel technology company that owns and operates travel fare aggregators and travel metasearch engines. The company’s booking websites include Expedia.com, Hotels.com, trivago, Vrbo, Orbitz, Travelocity, Wotif Group, ebookers, CheapTickets, Hotwire.com, and CarRentals.com. Through its booking and search platforms—specifically Expedia.com, Hotels.com, and its majority-owned subsidiary trivago—the company lists and promotes accommodation properties located in Israeli settlements within the occupied West Bank, East Jerusalem, and the Syrian Golan Heights. On September 26, 2025, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights updated its database of business enterprises operating in Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, noting that such settlement construction is illegal under international law. Expedia Group was among the companies included on the updated list. In response to these allegations, Expedia did not address the question of removing listings in illegal settlements.
